At the first contact, a brief discussion taking place between us to cover the client needs, requirements of the project such as the use of the final product, the target group, deadlines, the limitations which probably will occur and generally the scope of the project.
Having collected the necessary information of the project, at this stage we decide on the technical characteristics, such as what kind of technologies we have the possibility to apply today, if we have the possibility to create something innovative that will meet our needs even better, and which solutions will be applied for the safest implementation flow.
At this stage we begin to have a clearer picture of the required time and cost of the project.
Once all of the above have been agreed upon, implementation planning is taking place in order to analyze all the project parts and deliverables in greater detail.
Proper planning will help to avoid problems, which we do not want to arise at the next stage because they will have impact on time and the final cost.
The final step is the implementation of the project, testing, revision for the “final touches” and finally the delivery of the completed product.
If I were asked to describe the scientist-artist Stefanos Oikonomou with many years of collaboration in three sentences, I would say the following:
• Productive ideas, based on the knowledge of the possibilities of new technologies and a sensitivity that reaches the limits of spirituality.
• Complete design, as a result of a charming collaboration.
• Consistency on deadlines, with parallel dedication to the best possible result.
I had the pleasure of working with Stefanos Oikonomou in the particularly demanding field of digital representation. Specifically, in the digital representation of the cave, in the village of Vrontero in the Municipality of Prespa, which at the end of the civil war was created to meet the needs of the Democratic Army of Greece, in a "hospital" treatment facility for its rebels...! The result of this collaboration, of a classical restorer architect and a digital designer, was impressively realistic and beyond all my expectations! I admired Mr. Oikonomou's perceptive ability in matters of identification in a particularly "difficult" space and with complex fields of development. The result of this work is an extremely reliable presumption of the training and competence of Mr. Oikonomou. I thank him for our perfect cooperation!
My collaboration with Stefanos was at least enjoyable and ultimately creative. In addition, his patience and persistence to achieve the best result played a decisive role in the final result of the digital representation of the Basilica of Saint Achillios for which he obviously applied the special and particular knowledge he possesses in the field.
Stefanos and I collaborated on the digital restoration of the Basilica of Saint Achilleus in Prespa. He was an excellent partner: absolutely competent, fast, consistent, formal, pleasant and, above all, patient! In other words, he had all the characteristics of a person who loves and respects his work. I wish him every success in his future projects and hope to work together again!
